I LOVE doors! They all tell a story.
Jim:These old towns tell wonderful stories.
I came home with a lot of door pictures from Spain. Portugal had some fabulous doors too - love the old ones.
Cheapchick:Very different from the look of American entries in most of the US, especially in these old towns.
love me twice today, mitch! ;-b
anne marie:So glad. Thanks!
The Romans had a two-faced god named Janus who served as a conduit to both sides of a door.
Stephen:Funny, one of my crossword puzzles today had JANUS as one of the answers! I knew immediately, thanks to you.
Oh I like doors too, especially when they open to something marvelous.
Spo:It would be a blast to get to wander in and out. Many places in Frigiliana are tiny and dark, being built into the mountainside. But I'm sure some are full of surprises. And even some of the tiny places are charming given the creative maze-like design inside.
