Don't Swallow / No Se Trague

THIS IS WHY our cats spend so much time staring at the drain hole on our terrace. Swallows! (Really Eurasian Crag Martins, which are in the Swallow family.)

DURING THE WEEKEND.
DURANTE EL FIN DE SEMANA.
MOOSE AT 6:30 TUESDAY MORNING.
MOOSE A LAS 6:30 EL MÁRTES POR LA MAÑANA.
MOOSE AT 10:00.
MOOSE A LAS 10:00.
DUDO AND MOOSE AT 10:15.
DUDO Y MOOSE A LAS 10:15.

  1. I saw the title, and wondered where this was going. We have tons of swallows on the Delaware river in new hope. Lucky if you don't get dive bombed.

Where could it possibly have gone? I'm always pure and wholesome.

They really do. They spend more time there than I do.

  3. Oh, I missed several posts! Yikes! Caught up, now, I think. We just had Tiramisu mousse at school the other day (made by a student, for a presentation). Since Tiramisu isn't French, turning it into a mousse made it acceptable :)

If I could keep an idea in my head for more than a minute, Capistrano was supposed to be the theme of this post!

  6. I can see why Moose and Dudo are so fascinated. Great shots of the swallows on the wing.

Thanks! They are not easy birds to catch (thankfully so in the case of the cats).

It only ends when the birds move on in their migrations. Then, new birds come along.

  13. I've always felt that cats must be frustrated as hell at their inability to fly. Their exasperation at being so tantalised (a lot of the time, deliberately, I bet) is almost palapable.

Which is exactly why we need to keep them on THIS side of the glass curtain. Still haven't gotten screens ordered.
